Privacy Policy
Effective: 16 October 2026 · Last updated: 17 October 2026
Pickless ("the game", "we", "us") is a casual game about skin drawn up close. This Privacy Policy explains what data the game handles, where it is kept, and your choices.
The short version: your progress stays on your device. We have no accounts and no servers of our own, we never ask who you are, and we do not sell data. Anonymous game statistics are sent only with your consent where the law asks for it, and you can turn them off at any time.
1. Data kept on your device
The game keeps, on your device only:
- your progress: levels done and their stars, the things found for the Atlas, the skin of the day and its streak;
- your settings: skin tone, hair colour, vibration, the statistics switch;
- your studio's name, if you give it one.
We cannot read any of it. Deleting the game deletes it.
2. Purchases
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details, name or Apple ID. The game reads from Apple only which products you own, to put them in hand.
3. Anonymous game statistics and crash reports
To make the game better (which levels are too hard, where offers help or get in the way, what makes the game crash), the game can send anonymous statistics and crash reports:
- events such as a level started or done, a tool unlocked, a purchase completed or cancelled, with numbers like the level, stars, time spent and price;
- how far you are in the game, and whether you have bought anything;
- the app version, device model, OS version, language and country or region;
- when the game crashes, a crash report: where in the game's code it stopped, and the device's state at that moment (model, OS, free memory and storage, orientation).
How: through Google's Firebase services, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google LLC (and, in the EU and the EEA, Google Ireland Limited), which process this data for us. Firebase gives each installation of the game a random identifier, so that events of one installation can be counted together; it is not your name, your Apple ID or your device's advertising identifier, and deleting the game resets it. Your IP address is used to tell the country or region and is not kept by Google Analytics. Google may process the data on servers in the United States, under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Statistics are kept for 14 months, crash reports for 90 days, then deleted. Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Never sent: your name, your studio's name, any text, your contacts, your precise location, your device's advertising identifier, or anything else that identifies you. Nothing is used for advertising or to track you across other apps and websites.
Your choice: in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, statistics and crash reports are off until you turn them on (on the welcome screen or in Settings). Nothing is sent before you accept the Terms and this policy on the welcome screen. Elsewhere they are on until you turn them off in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous game statistics. Turning them off stops sending at once.
4. Ads
As of this version the game shows no ads from any ad network. When ads are added, the ad network and what it collects will be named here before that version is released, and, where required, you will be asked for consent first.
5. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.
6. Your rights
We hold no personal data that names you: the statistics carry only a random identifier of the installation, which we cannot link to you. You control the data on your device (delete the game to remove it and to reset the identifier) and the statistics switch in Settings. In the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you can also ask us about the statistics or object to them; for any question, write to us.
7. Changes
We will update this policy when the game changes how it handles data. Material changes are shown in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and the game tells you about them once.
